Unfortunately on this, it does seem as though EU/UK have been sleeping on the job, in comes the (positively disruptive, straight talking) Trump administration and EU/UK leaders have been, in their own eyes, rudely awakened and are now playing catch-up, big time!

Call it what you like, however no one can deny it's wakened EU/UK up, something that was sorely needed.

We should have been investing much more in our own defences for decades. Too reliant on the States.

Starmer was foolish to have said that, but it doesn't prevent Europe's leaders - and Mr Z himself - being involved. It would be like Pootin negotiating our exit from the EU
