Jackie Weaver AKA Britney Spears

The interesting aspect of this is how the media flocked to Jackie Weaver for her take on things and, as far as i know, have ignored the other members, particularly the bloke who accused her of having no authority, and the guy who lost his temper and told her to 'read the standing orders'.
What are those orders, and how did she contravene the accepted procedure of a council meeting?
None of this has been asked and instead she's left to insist she was harangued 'because she is a woman'.

I.M.H.O. she was harrangued because of her how dare you talk to a woman like that attitude.
I also think the guy who shouted at her was right with what he said, if only he hadn't shouted.

I imagine that he was pi$$ed off with her after she has done this before.
I'm afraid that I am with the guys, the chairman was making legal points and she kicked him and started declaring that the need a new chairman despite the vice chair being in the meeting, so he
was being ignored. I imagine that the councils own policies state that if the chairman is not there then the vice chair is the next one in charge.

But no, she setup the meeting and was bullying her way with it all.

The point the "new" chair made about the original chairman not being present at any meetings since last March was bad - despite there not actually being any meetings - what a joke!

Parish councillors are exactly like that. Power mad, without any actual power. They can be the worst type of intransigent no-mark you could ever have the misfortune to have to deal with.

If you're shouting in a meeting then you've forfeited any chance of winning the debate.

The victors always write the history. It looks like the meeting was valid although the rules never really thought of the situation where the chair was the disruptive element.

As to bullying, shouting in a meeting is a sign you've either lost control, and so shouldn't be there, or you're trying to overpower someone or drown someone out. If it's not an attempt to bully it's so close I don't care.
