Joining mains wire

Is it acceptable to join mains wires (including non-stranded wires) using connecting crimps, such as this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352774683919

If not, where is this kind of connector normally used? This would give a less bulky joint than terminal blocks, and easier for heat shrink insulation. It's also easier than soldering where I would normally need 4 hands and still make a total mess of it, if not burning my fingers in the process. Although, soldering after crimping could be doable for me.
