I'm making a desk/storage unit as per here //www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=274103
What I want to know is if I could do some of the shelves by biscuit joining some whitewood strips together to reduce the amount of mdf I need to use and to paint etc. It would be the pse whitewood stuff from wickes and would be stained/varnished if it makes a difference
The shelves I was thinking would be made from 4x 44mm x 18mm strips and 1 69mm x 18mm strip.
and the main desktop surface would be made out of 8 strips of 94mm x 44mm? would it work and would it be stable and not warp etc later on?
