Previous kitchens I've let the supplier of the worktops cut the worktop joints and I have assembled these. About to start a kitchen for my daughter and don't have that option. So I have bought a jig, have the correct cutters, have a 1/2 and 1/4" router and I think I have the 30mm guide plate required.

How difficult is this likely to be, tips, pitfalls etc for a competant diyer????? ie ex engineer.

Any help welcomed ;)

It's straight forward. Just watch the cutter does not catch the jig when lifting the router out

If you want to save wear on the cutter for future use, you can take most of the worktop away with a jigsaw first.

And more shallow passes are better than a few deep ones
