Recently....
- Natalie Elphicke (May 2024): The former MP for Dover defected directly from the Conservatives to Labour, stating the Tories had become a "byword for incompetence and division." She chose to stand down at the July 2024 general election.
- Dan Poulter (April 2024): The MP for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich defected to Labour, primarily citing the state of the NHS.

Jenrick is ambitious, and full of himself.
I can't see him being happy to not attempt a leadership challenge.
Him leaving fromage hanging yesterday could have been a ruse, a signal of who is pulling the strings.
