Potterton guy came today, it wasn't the pcb, it was a broken wire, I said the boiler cant have been tested at the factory then, he said it must have happened in transit, how the hell do you "break" a wire in transit, I reckon if you threw the boiler down the stairs and it hit every step it wouldn't break a wire, hmmpfffff.

Well had a bad day monday with duff boiler.

Had a bad day tuesday, hunt the hidden motorised valve, 2 hours, carpets up boards up, of course it was under the floor in the messiest room under the biggest fullest wardrobe, then found a weeping pipe on the landing which was awkward to get at.

Well had another bad day, checked the gas rate now the boiler working, blimey bit high, checked inlet gas rate working blimey 30mb, checked at meter, seal missing on govener, got transco out, they came in 10 minutes fitted new govenor.
Anyway went into loft, oh dear, not a single peice of lagging on anything, ok, got a roll of fibreglass in the van, I will cover pipes over with that, better than nothing plus the way the roof is constructed and the way the dickheads fitted the tanks you cant get at the pipes, so had to push lagging in with long stick, decided to check behind the f/e tank can only get head round, really tight, and guess what, no bloody overflow fitted at all, cant get at the back of the tank with out removing it, then noticed leak on cold feed, plus vent didn't go into tank either, sqweezed through gap and fitted overflow, then caught peice of pipe with overalls and pipe flipped back and hit me in the eye, *(**&&&^%^£$%^&*(_)(*&^%$£"!"£$%^&*(
did a basil fawlty, anyway beat it in the end, gone from no plan to Y plan all working nicely. (eventually), just got to clear rubbish and job done, not been the easiest job.

calm down vindictiveman, you should appreciate the fact that its the beginning of the heating season for potterton. and if it wasnt for several callouts to boilers fitted on certain new build sites (not naming any names barr%$£) that are piped up the wrong way round, us engineers at heateam would have plenty of time to come and sort out your kingfisher dilema........
