Hi all,
I got a decent deal a few weeks back on some Kingspan K5 external insulation. I am planning to self install it, and get a guy to bead and finish it.
I've had mixed advice on prep
- Some say you need to prime the back and front of the board, to prevent it absorbing too much from the adhesive / render
- Some say they never use it, as if it gets wet at all before rendering the boards deform and it looks aweful
Have I made a terrible blunder buying this, and does anyone know if the back does need priming before applying adhesive to the wall?
Or any other tips that would be helpful!
Thanks
Tim
