I have a query as to whether I can re-hang my kitchen door on the opposite side of the frame - the door used to open into a kitchen from a small hallway. To free some space up in the kitchen I now want it to open into the hallway.
I was all ready to do this however my neighbour informed me that they had tried to do the same thing some time ago and were told that it was not possible as it contravened building regulations etc.....
Is this true? All rooms in my two bedroom flat open from a hallway - so all doors open into their respective rooms and not into the hallway so this propossed re-hung door will not hit any other doors or cause any hinderance etc. There is only one external door in the flat and it is not through the kitchen
So is there any reason why I can't re-hang this door as I'd like to?
