I have edited my post above, it is the best I can do with the limited info - It sounds correct to me though. You would need to try the L1's in different combo's to work out exactly how it switches for you.
As a test, after sorting the black neutrals and the earths as mentioned previously, you could seperately connect each L1 UP THE WALL to the live. Turn on each time and see what set of lights operates. Then decide which two L1's one share a switch - or get yourself a three gang switch instead.
that's not a regular backbox.. how do you intend to fix the front plate to it?
edit: never mind, i see now.. why have you moved the light switch and that's going to be one ugly juntion box lid stuck on that wall.. you can't cover it or plaster over it either..
