I'm planning to tile the walls between the base and wall cupboards in the kitchen In order to hide a gap (approx 20mm) between the rear of the new worktop and the wall (it's a long story!) I need to pack the space between the plaster and the tiles with something. I could use a huge amount of adhesive, but this will probably lead to an uneven finish. Any bright ideas on how to achieve this. (Note that the wall is not even, so whatever I use, I'll still have to fiddle to get this right.) :?:

Not sure if I'm reading the question correctly,

Would a rounded quadrant tiles and or a also bull-nose tiles then wall tiles on top of it?

That's not acceptable to the interior designer!

How can I pack behind the tiles, without using buckets of adhesive, which will make it difficult to get a flat result?

Use 12mm plaster board plus dry wall adesive would give you about 20mm.

I would agree dot and dab out the whole wall and you will also then have a perfectly flat wall to tile onto.

Thanks, guys. Plasterboard it is, then!

Will I need to skim, or can I tile straight onto the paper surface?
