Hello all,

The waste water pipe from our kitchen sink has come away from the downpipe on the side of the building. Can anyone advise on the best way to repair this problem? The waste water pipe is about half the diameter of the connecting junction with the downpipe.

Cheers,

Matt

Can you put up a photo? The strap boss should be glued to the stack, if done properly it will never part company with the stack unless physically smashed off! Some however, use a rubber 'boss adaptor' which couples the waste pipe into the boss, these simply push in, and rely on the pipework being a comfortable fit to hold it in place.

Maybe simply this has come adrift, although that may suggest the waste pipe was poorly fitted when first installed.
