Labour and the magic tree

I know that doesnt help -but I cant get a signal from the bottom of the garden either.

maybe I need to try a newer phone that supports wifi calls
Omg get with it Nigel the dinosaur  I'd be nowhere without wifi mesh and wifi calling. Check your provider too as some dont offer it.

does it work well? -I mean does the signal drop out?

ive got cat6 cable running down to the garden office so I get a stable network connection

The magic Labour tree that keeps on giving..

Free internet for everyone now especially those low revenue spots out in the sticks where they will all have their own dedicated fibre backbone

It works very well. Does depend on how good your wifi is. I use a ubiquiti mesh of access points. Let me know if you want more info. (y)

Cost of Brexit will be shaving about £70bn off GDP - so there is plenty to spend on broadband and will still have loads left over.

Brexiters complaing about spending. The irony.

Oh shoosh..we know it's not them we care about it's their wealth that we will miss, it moves in mysterious ways.
But they make their wealth in the UK! Is it not fair that they pay their fair share back? People should stop buying stupid topshop crap :) :)

Where do you suppose they will go?

The fear the super rich will leave and it will dent the UK is based on debunked trickle down theory.

Also it assumes the billionaires are registered in the UK for tax when many have already registered as non doms or are tax resident in say Monaco.

They won't leave as they do not have to as any tax increases will not affect their income which is sheltered unless it goes on consumption or wealth.

If they move their wealth because we will tax it that means it wasn't taxed before (thats why they kkept it here) so it wasn't contributing so them moving their wealth will have no impact.

You seem to be a temporarily embarassed billionaire?

Oh you can wind your neck in..I got five kids to feed !!! I'm a poor man.

Talking of.. do the sensible thing stop poor families having so many flking kids they cant pay for how about stop at two any more and you pay for them not handouts. All these families with 567 brothers n sisters..
Have some back bone and say no sorry were not a charity.

And re wealth..
Ok let's look at it another way if you were to be throwing your money about in the UK as a v rich person youd soon be or possibly be targeted.
So best throw it around another country instead so the uk economy misses out. It's not a myth. And it turns the arguement on its head let's tax the rich.. it doesn't work they will never get to their billions

if the super rich get away with not paying their fair share of taxes, doesnt that mean effectively taking more tax from hard working people or preventing them getting the public services they should.

is it fair that people like Philip Green swan about the med on his huge yacht whilst some hard working person cant see is GP for 3 weeks.

Im not a fan of the current Labour leader or his obsession with socialism, but lets rise above the simplistic binary arguments used in this red blue debate -all that does is keep us the losers and the politicians the winners.

In my honest opinion, Philip Green is not the best example one can draw upon.
I'm not defending the odious tw@t, but he's made his money, not been handed it, and has risked everything (and more) in his early years, to get where he is today.

And there lies the issue.. my parents friend put his absolute balls on the line for many years affected his health for a while (all care paid for privately) and made himself a good fortune should he be hammered to pay for 6 kid families no.

yes but trickle down economics dont work - if billionaires dont pay taxes they dont contribute to the economy in the UK

if we leave out the pure tax havens, like Cyprus and Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Monaco, who have an artificially huge share of rich people, it turns out that we have on number five Denmark with 179 rich people per million inhabitants; Canada, New Zealand, Sweden, and on top Norway.

Norway and Sweden: high taxes.....
