Lawnmower repair

I own a McCulloch M40-110 Classic lawnmower which requires a new pull cord and a carburetter clean. However, I cannot remove the engine cover on top of the machine. I have removed the two bolts on top of the cover at the front but the cover will not move so I am assuming there must be some other fixings which require removing.
Can anyone help?

I dont know for certain but I’m sure the yellow cover and black grill will be clipped in with some form of built in catches. A gentle pry with a wide screwdriver may reveal a way in. Anything shown in the owners manual/instructions?

Many thanks for your help, the manual has no instructions on how to strip it down. Also, McCulloch would supply any instructions other than taking it to a one of their agents.

Checked out you tube and his McCulloch, different model, he removed 2 screws and it just lifted off!

There is a somilar one for sale on ebay which shows the underneath with what looks like screw holes.

Check out that ebay link it shows at least 3 screw holes.

The engine cover on eBay is a different model, although it shows three screw holes, as can be seen on mine there are only two visible on the top of the cover, there are no others visible.

Thank you for all your replies, but I have now been able to find the hidden fixings. They are behind the yellow insert on the top of the cover. Just had to remove the insert with a large wide flat headed screwdriver.
