Hi just attempted to lay a real wood floor. The pack says it is hard wood glueless parawood, EASY TO LAY AND JUST NEEDS GENTLE TAP TO CLIP TONGUE AND GROOVE . However after nearly smashing the first pack to bits the planks just dont want to go together. I did leave all the packs stacked on top of each other in the room for the recommended 72 hours. Any ideas much appreciated.

what dont go together ? the whole length of board? part of it (just the middle and not the ends or vise versa) ? the header? i dont know of a full knock solid wood floor. do you mean engineered floor? Is it click on length and knock on header? Is it possible to scan instructions and post on her?

Most of the click together stuff has to be offered up at an angle to engage the mechanism. If it joined flat with a gentle tap it would be prone to pulling apart with a gentle tap.

more caused by a dip in a floor joe. When tapped together they can be strong (sometimes) depending whos product. Quick step is very good system. But cant argue with joe as some rubbish and weak systems out there.

Why dont you take the wood flooring back and buy some carpet. It will look good and keep your feet warm in the winter.
