Lead Singles Cable

Just a thought ...
If it's going to be painted - presumably in the tradition of "if you've nothing to do, paint something"* - then it doesn't really matter what the cables are made of as long as they are :
  • about the right overall diameter
  • stiff enough to form like the led ones
I may need larger CSA than the circuit requires, but I suspect (eg) PVC insulated solid singles might do the trick. I leave it to others with experience of working with such cables to comment on the practicality of that.

* Or the military version of "if it moves, salute it; if it doesn't, paint it"

Use insulated and sheathed singles of about the correct size, the grey sheath might look something like lead...
