hopefully the pics uploaded. Trying to work out how many days it would take for this lead work for an inverted dormer. Is this more than amdays work plus materials? So I know if I am getting the correct quoted. So far quotes for other work have been so far different, no rhyme or eeason for same work. Quite happy to pay fair

    Is this guess the quote?

Just tell us how much you have been quoted then the roofing boys can go from there. Also you don't mention where you are in the country.

    It sounds quite reasonable.
They will need to buy a 6m roll of 600mm code 5 lead,
    Bidding felt, gas and oxygen,
    Copper nails.
Maybe copper clip and also patination oil.

£600 for two is dirt cheap even with access provided.
everythin on site at 8 in the mornin an it would be done by 4:30 afternoon.

if anyone gave a price based on your info then they dont now what ther doin.
the list posted above is incomplete an irrelevant. all you need to now is what code they intend to use?
the diagrams wont work - thers a lot more detail needed. anyone workin off them would soon run into trouble.the lead worker, if ther any good, will now how to do it

    two things.
thats always a tricky dormerdesign detail an best avoided if at all possible.
leads the best material but ther are other cheapermaterials besides lead can be used esp if theft is possible.

Bob my note says for 2! Not one.

Tbh the reason for inverted is to join an existing lean to where windows higher, so for cosmetic reasons so I don’t have a drop down roof not matching existing but....
I hadn’t bargained for such a big flat roof, or it being so problematic.

Seems drop down roof line might be better. That’s cheaper and I don’t end up with the vaulted ceiling inside having a little flat area.

A good idea - spend the lead money on a retro fit cavity tray across the top/ junction with the wall OR take a chance with just a cover flashing
