Leaking toilet inlet isolator valve

I think Ive just fixed it, although not entirly confident of how long it will stay fixed.
I think its the nut where the pipe goes into the cistern (Ive put arrow to it)
I cant get a spanner on it, so I tried tightening using my fingers. Of course, I turned it the wrong way, so what little water there was in the cistern started to leak out. So I quickly turned the nut in the other direction and it stopped. I could barely feel it turn at all - I can only get two fingers on it - but its stemmed the leak. Ive flushed the toilet a couple of times and so far no drips.
Ive put some toilet paper underneath and will keep an eye on it to see if it starts dripping again.
Could be as simple as the nut working its way lose by a tiny tiny amount? Is this normal/usual? Because Ive had to tighten in using my fingers, with my wrist at a really awkward angle, Im not confident Ive tightened it enough for it to stay fixed.

There will be 2 nuts there - the chrome one that's on the end of the flexi that connects the water to the fill valve shank and the plastic one above it that tightens the fill valve into the cistern. One stops the water dripping out of the cistern, the other stops the mains water heading into the fill valve from leaking out.
Either or the only way to be really sure is to get a tool onto each one and nip them up. if that isn't an option then keep an eye on it and see what happens. The fill valve is mechanical and has moving parts, so it move move a little as it works and stops filling, so if it isn't the tight enough then yes it could possibly work itself a little loose.

You could loosen the other end of the flexi then turn the whole braided bit by hand, if it leaks again. Worth it to see if it fixes it, if not you'll probably have to remove the cistern to tighten it all up properly.
Absolute ridiculous design those are!
Have to take the bloody cistern off to change the fill valve or fix a leak on the connection.
