just had an electric shower wired in sparks has put it on an MCB in :cry: cu, shouldn't it have an RCD aswell?

Has he put it on the RCD side of a split load CU?

Do the manufacturers instructions say an RCD is required?
 
no split load, only need an RCD as an additional safety device in instructions, it has an pull cord isolating switch within bathroom of course.
