Hi all, looking for some advice.
The previous owners of the house converted half of the garage to a sun room, it was a damp and horrible hell with plaster boards stuck to the single brick walls, crap patio door etc. I need a place to work while doing the rest of the house so I've made an office. While doing it I thought I'd have a play with LED strips and plaster channels which I think I've done a decent enough job of. I still need to install the diffuser but so far I'm happy.
This is new to me so I've wired it all from the garage so everything can be swapped out easy enough.
I'm trying to work out if I've done it correctly, I think I need a triac driver but I'm not sure.
Currently I'm running a V-pro dimmer with the switched live going to this transformer - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08VGBMGQY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
I've then connected the transformer to the approximately 5m of https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BZ36CP6M?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
I know the transformer is larger than needed but when I bought it I had other plans.
Everything works, until I dim to as low as the dimmer will go when it turns off. While this is fine, I'm just wanting to know if there is/was a better way to do it?
Thanks.
