Help please ... can I add a motion switch to these low voltage led lights so they come on when you enter the room?

Sure you can but the motion sensor will be on the mains side of the LED driver.
thanks for quick response ...at the end of the led lights is one of those plug type transformers ..? where would the switch go in the chain?

you would have to fit your PIR with a socket instead of a light. then plug the wall wart into the scocket you have.
only thing, some not all PIRS have a minimum rating
(wall wart = plug in transformer)
