My tv has gone down been told i need a new power inverter board, does anyone know who can repaire them.

To trouble shoot on a switch mode supply is near impossible. It takes your AC and converts to DC then turns it back to high frequency AC and transforms to voltage required then back to DC at this point it takes a sample and then alters the parameters of part before transformer to adjust voltage. i.e. round in a circle. This means the old idea of starting at input with meter and slowly testing until you find point where there is no more power does not work and the only way to repair is to replace parts one by one and see if that makes it work. So you need a good power supply to swap bits with to find faulty bit. And also some bits if they fail can cause other bits to fail so you have to test independent so unless you are looking at a power supply costing over £100 they are just not worth tooling up to repair. It is a case of replace whole power supply. That is most cost effective method.

Thanks for the info Eric, i thought it was quite complicated im a heating engineer so mess about with pcb's all the time but this had me beat!
where would i be able to get a complete board from as i can change it over myself.
