I went into a room earlier, and turned the light on, and it blew just as i turned it on. And it freaked me out a bit because I must have turned it off just in time last time! What are the chances of that happening?

Happens quite a lot. The lamp is cold and you turn it on. The filament goes from cold to several hundred degrees and this is the time it is most likely to pop.

Never mind, the low energy ones wont pop nearly so often!

Blimey Crafty, sorry didnt spot it was you. I've been immersed in trying to transfer my stuff on old computer (XP) to new one (FISTA) so my heads gone all 32 bit.

Big mistake, i gotta buy upgrades for lots of my stuff (Adobe Acrobat Pro) just to suit Bill G. My little girl is upset that her MY Little Pony game doesnt work, etc etc.

I know the feeling!! I used an external hard drive to do mine. nice 80gig one. Another thing - keep the old PC in case vista goes t1t5 up or wont work with your old software. I bought an OEM norton internet security disc for £15, the disc wouldnt play with vista, it directed me to a website where i downloaded the right version FOC, using the key I got with the disc. Great stuff, given that to purchase a key online would have cost £50

I set up a dual boot for it, but I'm not impressed by it at all.

As for the whole lamp blew when I turned it on, I used wonder why that sometimes happened.

Yes think I'll do a partition and run XP on it unitil Service Pack 2 comes out!
Theres a thing called Virtual PC that looks interesting - whoops, off topic again.

Was that a tulip or daffodil light bulb?

Just be warned, if you do that you might find yourself re-installing Vista cos XP overwrites the boot sector.
