Light switch needs rewiring every time powers goes off..???

i know that but it would seem THRIPSTER doesn't, hence my question to THRIPSTER

Hi,

like everyone els on this thread, I bought CASSA light switches and even power sockets to compliment our new kitchen.
AND like the rest of us only realised that we needed retractive switches to operate 2 way or multi-way lighting, using the dimmers at one end of the circuit once we had opened the box!
I've been on to GET who make the CASSA range for Homebase and they sell the same range but with different face plate finishes called ROCCA.
GET have an authorised parts supplier called Wyvern Electrical on 02920 482438 - ask for Robert as he is well aware of the problem and can supply the switch units to replace your normal CASSA rocker switches, with retractive units - at £3.63 ea. and not having to replace the face plate or unit body, this has to be the best way to solve the problem.
Hope that helps

Plan B:

Buy everything from Wyvern, or any other retailer who cares enough to stock all of the components you need, and return the stuff you bought in Homebase for a refund.

True, but he has a point - for as long as Homebase continue to sell only half what people need there will be some coming here looking for help, so if they do a search.....

I installed a reputable manufacturers dimmer for my brother in law who has the same problem apart from the fact that it does not need to be disconnected/ reconnected after every power cut, just reprogrammed. It did not have any form of memory protection by rechargeable battery.( & that was very expensive tat from an electrical wholesaler)
