light switch replacement

I replaced a light switch in my bathroom and the light was coming on everything seemed to be fine. I then replaced the fan switch next to the light switch and wired to the light switch and now nothing works. In fact the lights in another bathroom will not work. I pulled the new switches off still nothing. I did notice my a breaker for the gfi was tripped so I flipped it reset my gfi switch but the gfi is not clicking when pressing reset. Help! I am not sure what to do next.

Sounds like you have shorted something to ground.
