Lighting help needed

Good Morning

I would be grateful if someone could please help wiyh my problem.

I have tiled my kitchen and in doing so removed the light switch socket to tile underneath.

My kitchen has a circuit whereby 2 switches control 1 light. (Is it a 3 way switch?) After I had finished and replaced socket, the controls had changed and now both switches do not control the light as they did before. One has to be on before the other can turn on/off and vice versa

Any help would be greatly appreciated

It sounds like it was on 2 way switching.

Can you post up how many cables & what colours the wires in the switch are. (Can you post up a picture of the wiring in the switch)
