I switched my downstairs lighting circuit trip switch off/down and then tried to switch it back on again and it will not stay up/on.
I did not do any electrical worl and everything worked fine before,
Does this point to a faulty trip switch?
Thank you

If you were not working on the circuit, why did you switch it off?

firstly, I am in uk, can,t explain why it also got posted on overseas site.
I switched it off to replace a light switch then realised it was a bit dark so changed my mind.
Now to answer the only valid reply, it's a hager,
Thanks

Try isolating the whole installation via main isolation switch.
Then see if your MCB will reset in the closed position, when installation is off?

Some dont like being switched on under load, check all the light switches are in the actual off position first, more so if you have transformer run lamps
