Hi All,

Don't know if this classes as a 'DIY' inquiry, but I am currently decorating the bathroom and cannot find a soap bar that is lilac/lavender in colour. Yes, they are available in specialists shops, but I am after ones that are readily available in supermarkets.

If this post is inappropriate, is it possible to suggest the creation of a forum which deals with the other aspect of decorating, e.g. kitchen/bathroom items, appliances, etc?

Thanks.

tried boots?

my mum likes yardley lavender guess what colour the soap is

nope.

would you like to come back next week and try again? you could win the star prize

Thanks for the weird (and wonderful) replies to my weird and not so wonderful question!

I haven't yet tried Boots, but the main problem is that many soaps are wrapped up in non-transparent wrappers, so I can't tell what colour they are! A trip to Boots is on the cards then.

Thanks.

Don't know about the soap, Traveller, but I know that Waitrose has lilac-coloured (and scented) candles. They always look good in a bathroom.

Thanks NickStone; appreciate your help.

I've come across quite a few lilac coloured candles and haven't ruled them out totally from my plans, but probably will go for flowers in a vase instead.

(Sorry to all those hardcore DIY'ers who're having to put up with all this talk about soaps, candles and flowers!)

Thanks.
