Like I said, what happens the next time something like this happens and they don’t/wont immediately let everyone know the colour/ethnicity of the perpetrator? They've set a dangerous precedent.

The video I saw wasn't a fight or flight situation, it was a deliberate act of driving into the crowd. The only reason he got his window smashed at the rear first of all was after he started to reverse into people. surely in a fight or flight situation you would take the path of the least people, people were running and there was a clear route where there was nobody in front of him. He chose to veer and swerve into the crowd as his path.

If there is no pre-meditated intent then the fight or flight decision making is processed mainly in the Amygdala. It is the part of the brain that makes quick simple decisions, without logic or reasoning.

Having seen some of the footage, it looks more like a driver that got their car into the wrong place, panicked and then tried to escape rather than a deliberate attempt to hurt as many people as possible using the car as a weapon.
