I think it's all relative. A couple of pages of friendly chat is harmless. A hundred pages of repeating exactly the same thing over and over and over again is disruptive.
And anyway, as far as I know, I hardly ever complain about threads straying off topic.

I actually think it is more likely than he deliberately set out with a plan to murder people. Apparently, the police have been looking at lots of his dashcam footage. I think they must have enough information to rule out attempted murder.
