Arming football fans en-mass and expecting them to be sober and capable of making a shot that most police snipers couldn't pull off in a busy crowded street is lunacy.

Anyone who has done the Northern Ireland training range would know the difficulty in identifying and taking a shot at a moving target surrounded by civilians. It's a fantasy and a stupid and ignorant one at that.

yes because every target you shoot at stands still in front of you with their arms out. Nutjob,

And of course the IRA terrorists who were all shot dead whilst driving through an army baracade at high speed without stopping was pure fantasy, it never happened plus countless other examples. What an absolute trol and moron you are.

Anyone ever been clay pidgeon shooting? I do it regularly and would be considered as good at it. I have yet to see any ex army soldiers struggle with that sport. I have lost count the amount of times I have taken shots at moving targets, both in and out of a range.

Ah, so now the fantasy has moved onto shooting vehicles moving unpredictability in the middle of a crowd with multiple soldiers armed with SLRs and GPMGs.

If you can't work out the difference between a northern Ireland checkpoint with cleared lines of sight, alert sentries, and a busy road full of people there's something wrong with your head.

But if the plan is to put snipers nests on every tall building surrounding every mass attendance event then yeah, sure that could happen. It won't save any lives. A lot more right wing nutters will probably end up getting shot though.

Shut up fool, you know nothing, A GPMG OMG you have been watching die hard again haven't you. SLR lol. What era are you from. Muppett.

Why do they need a camera?
Self loading rifle, it's what squaddies had in NI to shoot at IRA members. Very powerful, lots of penetrating power. If you fired one on the street in Liverpool it'd have gone through the windshield, the driver and plenty of pedestrians before going through the wall behind them.

It was officially replaced by the L85A1 rifle in 1985 and phased out by 1994. The main standard rifle used by the British Army is the L85A2/A3, also known as the SA80
