street cabinets are usually rather expensive

I like the idea of a DP switch inside the building, but I would go for an RCD s/FCU. Then you only need a cheap socket outside the building where it is accessible but in a weatherproof enclosure.

If you put an RCD socket outside the building you have a more valuable item at risk.
