My sundial post has been locked..........how does that happen? is there an 8 page limit?

No limit on thread length. Posts get locked when trolls like coldberk disturb their usefulness with inane drivel.

It happens when one of the moderators decides that there has been too much abuse, and/or that the topic has run its course.

In your case it became clear that you finally understood (on page 8) the information that I'd provided back on page 2 (and 3, 4, 5, 6, etc), and that you then knew what actions you needed to take, so there was no point in keeping the topic open.

If you still have questions then you could start a new topic, but be aware that you're likely to get answers from people who are incapable of thinking about a problem, and attempt to shout down anyone who is.
Just think about it - if they were so secure in they knowledge and certain that they were right, there would be no need to hurl insults at anyone.

It's basic playground mentality - they can't cope with someone who's more experienced and capable unless that person joins their little club, and the reason that they're so irate is the pure frustration that, despite their qualifications, they're unable to convey understanding to a novice, hence they fall back to giving formulaic answers.
