Bit of advice please.
Our bathroom door has a rack bolt to lock the door and I want to change this for a lever handle and thumbturn arrangement.
As the handle doesn’t have a lock on it just now the void in the door isn’t big enough to fit a bathroom set so I assumed that I was going to have to cut this out. However, I noticed at the weekend that a mate has a lock on his bathroom door that has a thumbturn but no mortice bolt, so I assume that the thumbturn locks the handle itself. This would be an ideal ‘straight swap’ but I can’t seem to find one like this anywhere.
Does anyone know what these are called or where I would find one?
Many thanks,

Alan
