Hi..had no response in other forum area....hope someone can help.

Hi..I'm looking to put more insulation in loft...I read things about condensation.......I dont seem to have any ventilation in eaves!.....Its a detatched house..1950.....both gable ends have 3 ? decorative round "things"...do these allow air in?...these cant be seen from inside the loft....also..the tiles are sort of 1/2" thick ? concrete tiles....do these allow enough air in?

I'm worried I'll cause a problem if I just plough on...Any reassurance please

you are asking if your loft has enough ventilation?

Which of us can see it - you or me?

Investigate the holes you mention to see what they do.

Look at the eaves properly. "I don't seem" is no help

Post some photos if you like.

Is it felted?

Look again pal...I'm not asking if I've got enough insulation!

Which of us can see it - you or me?.......smart arsed comment

Ok

Can you feel air movement at all when you are in the loft?

My house is 50's and although it doesn't have vents like a modern house air does circulate - you can feel the air movement on windy days etc.

If you haven't got a condensation problem at the minute, laying more insulation shouldn't create one.
