Hello,
this has probably been asked/discussed already but here goes ...
I have an inaccessible roof space above my kitchen where I want to fit Fire Rated LED downlights in the ceiling probably similar to this
https://www.downlights.co.uk/click-...MI5Jvnraru6wIVnIBQBh1Nmws-EAAYASAAEgKRavD_BwE
I have checked and there is rockwool insulation in the roof space. There are no rooms above the kitchen.
I am not quite sure how hot the LED lights get and know that they need space around for heat to dissipate or thery can cut out. My question is can I install the downlights without "hoods" or is there a risk of fire with the insulation? I am loathed to cut into the ceiling in order to get access to the roof space but if so any suggestions how best to do this?
Thanks
