Hospitalisations for youth knife crime is down massively, but knife crime offences themselves is more or less flat for example. Lots of mobile phones thefts and shoplifting.
Not a universally perfect picture, but falling murder rate is a good news story and worth enjoying.
A lot of crime, simply goes unreported, because the victums know that reporting is a waste of their time.
True, and somebody has said the figures need to be taken in the context of 'all crime', but for murders to be significantly down the Police should be applauded.
No, I don't think so.Of course if the tories or deform were in power in London you'd be praising the figures just released not trying to conflate them
I think we need a mayor (and a PM) with large attributes and stamp out all crime.
Looking at Giuliani's administration as an example or Bukele in El Salvador: they had the guts to put anarchists and leftists to one side and enforce the law.
Unfortunately in this country there are too many leftists who dislike law and order and love criminals.
Fortunately in a safe area where we patrol our estate and we don't allow criminals to come near our area.
Some riff raffs tried in the past and they were very kindly and politely invited to move on; they complied.
However, as we get older and new neighbours move in, there's less and less willing to give up their time and engage with the neighbours.
They prefer to lock themselves in their Kingdom and pretend there's nothing outside.
In 15-20 years max, even our area will become a war zone, unless a central and local government with boll@x take over.

Perhaps, there's no way to tell if that's increasing or decreasing, but if people are being stabbed and not seeking medical treatment then the youth of the day must be getting a lot tougher than we thought.

I live in a predominantly English estate where most people were born in the house the live in.
I have integrated perfectly with them and out of luck, they all share my same values and ideas of law and order.
Nothing authoritarian about respecting the law and expect others to do the same.
Unless you're a leftist criminal hugger; then law and order doesn't apply to you and it's considered a crazy idea.

I agree with everything you say...
Never experienced racism here, possibly because I respect the law and people.
I disrespect criminals though and the fine people of Britain like me because of this and treat me with respect.
