This is what's happening in west London at the moment, just a few miles from me.
I bet there are at least 50 police officers now standing about and they'll be gone tomorrow when that particular high street is a hotspot for violent crime.
Place 6 officers permanently there and crime will not happen.
Even better, get plain clothes officers stationary there and arrest all these animals.
Keep them behind bars in basic conditions (no playstation, TV, etc.) for 5 years a pop and see if they learn how to be humans.

A murder investigation has been launched after an 18-year-old man was fatally stabbed on Victoria Road, Feltham. Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.

That was no place for criminals.

The murder rate was higher than London back then and still is...

There are good and bad people from all countries.
Some countries seem to export lots of criminals, others very few.
I despise criminals, wherever they're from, especially the Italian criminals because they embarrass me.
Leftists love criminals, especially foreign ones, and despise law abiding citizens, especially the indigenous.
Let this sink in: leftists hate law abiding British white people but love hardcore criminals who have entered the country illegally.

I've moved back to my home town in the country, but lived in Stoke Newington, Enfield, Turnpike Lane and Walthamstow.

Been to London a fair bit recently, lots of walking around it, through it, as well as Bushy Park, Bromley where i have friends. And always felt safe. Never heard of neighborhood groups patrolling the streets before, which is why i was curious.

Interesting you felt safe. I used to live in West London, left approx 20 years ago, but still know the city well. We go to visit friends or just do London stuff fairly regularly, and went down for the day between Christmas and new year. We were in the St Pancras, Covent Garden, South Ken, and the Knightsbridge areas (ie max touristy areas) and i have never felt so unsafe in London. Not even in the peak IRA period where a pub we frequented was bombed in Ealing where we lived at the time.

We witnessed two phone theft snatches and lots of 'tailgating' through the tube barriers, with no action from the watching TFL staff. I had someone try and tailgate me through one barrier but stopped to prevent them following me through and got a mouthful of abuse. There were gangs of masked youths loitering, clearly up to no good, but we saw two police officers in the whole of the day in prime areas for pickpocketing and phone theft.

Its good news that murders are down, but London felt more dangerous to me than it ever has. The only time i've ever felt that uncomfortable was when we got lost walking around Memphis, turned around from the direction we were walking in as it felt so unsafe and were ultimately advised by a random shop keeper to stop walking where we were and get a taxi.
