Lots of fault codes

I've got a multi metre. Never done glow plugs though

Check the resistance of each, it should be quite a low value, and suspect any that are substantially higher than the lowest of the values of the others.

Just to reiterate, what others have said - clear all of the existing codes, then see what reappears. What reappears, is what is important, not the old stored codes.

Sorry for the delay. It now says 1 fault and 1 pending.
The first one says DTC definition not found refer to vehicle service manual.

You now need to track down, a list of codes, and their meanings - specific to your car and exact model. What the codes mean, apart from a few common ones, can vary..

Hopefully, you have had a quick drive around, between clearing the old codes, and checking what new ones have appeared?

IMO if your code reader interface has not been fully recognised by the vehicle's system, you can't rely on the codes that are displayed being correct.

General purpose code readers, are only able to translate a limited range of codes, into English code explanations. Some code readers, are a little better than others, and allow you to choose car manufacturer, but all readers should be able to at least show the list of code numbers found.

Most of the cheaper code readers, will only be able to diagnose engine ECU codes - they will not be able to access, or display any for your other car's systems, such has, body controls, lighting, braking ECU's.

So I've deleted the codes again as although the check engine light was on this morning it kept saying no faults found. After a while it said the dtc definition not found p261A pending. So I'll try reading again I'm a bit.

I wonder, if it's that, how much it'd cost cost in a garage. I'm surprised it's not running hot already.

Why wonder? Climb under, and take a look! If the wire has failed, try joining it with connectors, if that fault can then be cleared - time to make a more permanent repair.

I just mean if it's complicated and that's the problem. I'll get the under cover off tomorrow if I get the chance. I only put it on last week and it tricky if you're working on the floor.

Mmm, if you're going to crawl under a car that is resting on a jack alone, then cut a thick bit of wood into a chock for underneath the jack's lift arm to stop it descending, and definitely do something else like taking a wheel off and lying the wheel down under the car (with a block of wood on it to take up the rest of the height)

Impromptu axle stands made from wheels are better than nothing!
