I am looking at the possibility of converting a flat roof extension, which currently serves as a utility room.
The structure is continuous with the house, as you can see from the plan below.
There is various work that will need doing to it, but one issue is that the concrete floor in the extension is about 80mm higher than the floors in the original house.
If the plan are correct, how extensively would the floor and sub-structure need to be reworked?
If it needs to be dug very deeply, then I might get the drain line extended all the way through the building, so that the manhold cover in the porch area can be removed and straight rodding access created at the end of the extension).
Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.
