Lucy Letby case - Evidence discussion thread

The court of appeal isn't interested but the criminal case review commission ought to be. The last boss appears to have ben forced out for not being proactive on a similar miscarriage of justice case, so will be interesting to see how the new one handles this.

I know all that. I just wanted more information on the background. How did it come into existence, who arranged it and when. How long have they been working on this. It just seems to have materialised today out of nowhere. I am not trying to making any type of point.
It was the paper that Dr Shoo Lee had written that was used as evidence. He was furious that he was not consulted over it as been used as evidence of this case. He said that the paper had been mis interpretted and was out of date. He had written a new report that superceded that particular paper. The prosecutions medical expert who had used this paper to present the evidence to the jury was not qualified to do so.

Interesting article in the DM suggesting that evidence given at the trial by a doctor that LL was caught red handed is inconsistent with an earlier pre police investigation statement given by the same medic.

Somewhat of a carrot and stick approach by tne appeal team, but as the sub postmasters found out, media involvement is crucial.

The other question is whether LL’s team was aware of the inconsistency i.e. was the note disclosed by the prosecution, and, if so, was it put to the witness?
