Lucy Letby......More revelations.

Not necessarily.

Managers may have been negligent every which way come Sunday but, through the diligence of others or just through blind luck, nothing bad happens.
In other words an accident that never happened
Bad systems and poor practice increase the likelihood of negative outcomes, but they do not guarantee them.
Nothing may go wrong, but that doesn't mean the operation isn't a complete **** show.
That’s a fair political observation but a near and clear miss isn’t an accident

So and to be clear, your position is that hospital management should not be investigated until the LL appeal is concluded?

But if it turns out that Letby wins an appeal then it completely changes the cause of the deaths to a system failure...

Hence it will be a very difficult job for the verdict to be overturned as the system doesn't like to admit failure if at all possible!

If she remains guilty the managers can claim that they are not negligent because it was the actions of an individual that caused the deaths even though they may have also made bad policy...

As regards the police they always cover their arses!

There are another 3 that they are looking to prosecute her for. High risk for the CPS, if they start proceedings now.
