Lucy Letby

Anyone else watch the Lucy letby documentary last night?

A lot of the experts have since looked at the case (prosecution) and it doesnt hold up, maybe she's innocent...maybe...

Her barrister was saying that when he hands in his appeal if the (is it the cps) think that the evidence could have been used in the original trial it'll be thrown out...potentially leaving an innocent women in prison for life...

Madness...

Didn’t catch it, but I think they are presenting a case to the criminal case review commission who have the power to refer the case to the court who can order a retrial. But from what you say the courts or parliament would have to change the law to allow the case to be re heard. Farrage is on board and thinks there should be a retrial.
This is a summary of tne documentary

If her legal team thought that had legs, she'd be out in two shakes of a rat's tail.
That really isn't how the justice system works.

The reconsideration process is very difficult to navigate and designed to prevent 'just having a go'.

Where it is murky like the Letby case or where she just had a really crap defense, it's insanely hard.
