So my boiler was dispensing hot and cold dhw and had sprung a leak. Found the leak to be coming from the plate heat exchanger. Not long finished putting it all back together (had pcb out to find leak) and boiler won't turn on at all. Dead. Mains fuse is ok, so is one on pcb. Power going to the switch on user controls but when I turn it to on, not a thing :/

Anyone any suggestions on how to narrow down the fault? The instructions that come with it are useless.

Thanks in advance!!

One other thing. Opened up pcb for a check and there a load of brown stuff (solid) coming from a blue block. Don't know what it is or if it's affecting it)

Check all of the plugs are correctly fitted to the PCB - is the Display blank? is the ribbon cable connected to the PCB?

In honesty it is probalby the PCB that is dead, (Just turning off the power will do for these sometimes - and if you look at it kind of funny, they can pack up as well)

Nothing comes on at all! No lights pump activity nothing. Everything's all plugged in. There any way to test? Power going to switch but even the led on the switch won't come on

sounds like a popped pcb, have you had a water meter fitted recently?, I've had loads of these in particular which blow the seal on the dhw hx when the hw expansion disappears.

i think it is the pcb tbh but just odd was working before i turned it off to do exchange plate now not working. nah no water meter, live in scotland. got more water than we know what to do with!

as i said in previous post there was a lot of brown stuff look liked it had leaked out of the transformer i think? big blue cube on the circuit board.

least its no winter eh?
