I've got this magnetic filter in the return to my boiler, is it something that needs to be maintained in any way, e.g. washed out now and then? I have recently moved in to the house so wasn't around when it was installed, presumably with the new boiler next to it.
Thanks for any guidance.

It should be cleaned annually at the same time as your boiler is serviced

Its upside down by the way (y) if it hasn't been in long get the installer to correct it.

If that's an outbuilding (garage) get the pipes lagged as well.
And, is that the best place for the pump?

I did wonder why the writing on it is upside down! It was installed before I bought the house so I don't know if I can track down the culprit. I wonder what else is wrong. Dilalio, can you explain your question please? You mean it should
