Magnetic Filters

I've read mixed things about these - is the consensus from the pros on here that they are worth installing or not?

If so, I'm looking at the BoilerMag at around £50-60. Is this a good choice or is another model recommended?

The Flowmasta is about the cheapest and has a very powerful magnet.
