Why put a TN-C-S installation on an RCD?

I was thinking (1) of the current ropey installation and (2) of the wet kettle/light switch/ccoker event.
And it's a personal preference, but a 100mA RCD on the non-socket circuits I happen to like, it gives a degree of personal protection and some fire-causing faults too.
Do you think it's wrong, or just unnecessary?

Unnecessary, once ropey earthing replaced with shiny new TN-C-S.

Like I said, it's what I'd do (have done) personally, even though it's not compulsory. The day Davas gets out of the bath and touches his deteriorated old brass light switch, or his steam iron springs an internal leak, I thnk he'll be pleased to have an RCD. And if he makes the mistake of trying to repair that cracked bulbholder without removing the fuse, it could save him leaping off the ladder.
