Hi guys

I've just fitted a new sandstone fireplace and need to make good the area around it where plaster/render was removed. It's not very deep (usual render and plaster depth on brickwork), and varies in width by about 2"-5". I've PVA'd the exposed brickwork and was gong to put on a scratch coat of render then plaster it. If this is the best way, what plaster should I use, and do Wickes or similar do small bags of suitable plaster - its seems wasteful to buy a 25kg bag. Alternatively, can I just plaster the areas, and again what sort of plaster is most suitable.

Thanks a lot
