Hi

I have taken a chimney breast down in garage but now have rough brick work. I want to be able to hang things from it so want to make it flat and strong.

I do not want to board this over but fill it and make into a reveal. I have put two batons either side floor to ceiling and now want to fill in between.

Any ideas of the best way to do it.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Frank

It is roughly an inch I have some high areas and some lower areas where the bricks have come out.

Thanks

Dave

I would render it up with a scratch coat. If you don't fancy mortar, use under coat plaster stick like **** to a blanket, but in either case the high points must be knocked off.
