Mandatory ID cards (Brit Card) to be announced tomorrow

Is it more than 6 months since the offence?

If so you can cancel the course

Devon Cornwall used to have zero tolerance days 31 in a 30 and they'd want you on the course, even though the type approval wouldn't hold up for the evidence.

No it's recent. I'll take it on the chin, just happy not to have the points.

1) Given Speed limits have been more than halved over the last 20 years and in some cases halved again,
You wot? There are sections of roads previously 70mph that have now been dropped to 17.5mph?

I can believe speed limits have been dropped but let's not get silly here.

Alan Woodward, a professor and cybersecurity expert at the University of Surrey, said that if the data is also held on a vast database to allow for cross-referencing, “it’s painting a huge target on something to say ‘come and hack me’”.

I wonder which tech firm is all over this who also specialises in vast databases.

What happens if you don’t have a mobile phone ??

This caper all sounds like a load of baloney imho ??

Are you suggesting that passports and driving licenses etc are being revoked/cancelled/scrapped?

Fair point

Bloke working with us said the same ??

Told him it was a load of nonsense ???

Is it ???

Most countries require you to have ID don't they?
Most? This was specifically in response to being arrested and thrown in jail for not carrying identification papers.

By law at the moment, if you've done nothing wrong and the police have no reason to give to arrest you, you don't need to disclose who you are or what you are doing. Making it compulsory to carry ID possibly changes this. This is not a good thing. And it is not going to reduce immigration or illegal work, so the government are lying about the reason they want this.
